Careful Choice of Leashes, Collars Makes Happy Owners

The Humane Society of the United States says size matters, for both leashes and collars: "Make sure the leash is the proper size for your dog and for his collar. A thin, lightweight leash designed for a toy breed may not be strong enough to control a rambunctious Labrador retriever. And the clip on the end of a small leash might break from the pressure of the metal ring on a large dog’s collar, which would allow your dog to run off." According to Pet Poison Helpline: "Debates about whether or not medical marijuana is beneficial for ailing pets are becoming more frequent. While the jury remains out regarding the benefits of medical marijuana for pets, recent news coverage and an increase in the number of pets being treated for accidental marijuana poisonings are raising questions about the safety of marijuana, especially in dogs."
